Jam strikes back at Bighorns

Guard Stephen Dennis scored 24 points, and forward Damion James had 23 points, 11 rebounds and four steals Monday to lead the Bakersfield Jam to a 114-109 victory over the Reno Bighorns at the Reno Events Center.
Forward Mike Scott added 21 points and 10 rebounds for Bakersfield (5-3), which was beaten soundly by Reno (2-3) on Friday and Saturday.
Bakersfield shot only 37 percent from the field, but made 42 of its 48 free throws (87.5 percent), outrebounded Reno 54-42, and forced the Bighorns into 20 turnovers.
