Cold-shooting Jam falls to Warriors

Guard Kent Bazemore had 18 points, five steals and seven rebounds Sunday to lead the Santa Cruz Warriors to a 93-88 victory over the cold-shooting Bakersfield Jam at the Kaiser Permanente Arena.

James Nunnally, a 6-foot-7 forward out of UC Santa Barbara, had 19 points for Bakersfield, which shot only 36 percent from the field.

Forward Isma'il Muhammad made 5-of-7 shots and finished with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, and Renaldo Major added 18 points and eight rebounds for Bakersfield.

The Jam (8-5) made only 6 of its 22 3-point tries.

Travis Leslie scored 15 points for the Warriors (6-2).
