Blaze falls to Storm, 6-1

Kyle Waldrop's 15th homer of the season was the lone bright spot for the Bakersfield Blaze, who lost 6-1 at Lake Elsinore on Friday night.

Waldrop's blast to center field came in the fifth inning with the Blaze trailing 5-0.

The loss in the first game of a three-game series against the Storm, snapped a Blaze two-game winning streak.

Blaze left fielder Juan Silva was ejected by home plate umpire Jeremie Rehak.

Mike Denhardt (6-8) got the loss for the Blaze, allowing five earned runs in four innings.

Junior Arias and and Juan Perez each had two hits for the Blaze.
