(2) Tulare-Mission Oak
First impressions: Wasco is the Central Section's only undefeated team and an easy choice for the top seed here. By no means does that mean this is going to be an easy run. After a bye, the Tigers probably will face a rematch with Arvin, which gave them their stiffest test of the season (though that "big test" was a 56-28 game). Then, one of two programs with a lot of playoff experience in Chowchilla and Coalinga probably awaits in the semifinals. And Mission Oak, which played teams from higher divisions all year long, will give Wasco its best game of the year in the final, if both teams can get there. And you know what? I still like Wasco. This team has been that impressive.
Early prediction: Semifinals: Wasco d. Coalinga, Mission Oak d. Bakersfield Christian
Championship: Wasco d. Mission Oak
