    After a wild Friday night in which No. 1 Fresno-Edison was knocked off at home, 15-14 by Sanger, and No. 2 Bakersfield needed a fourth-quarter rally to survive Frontier's upset bid, it was easy to expect upheaval in the BVarsity Central Section rankings. In fact, you can make a legitimate case for six different teams to be ranked No. 1 in the section.

    But in the end, we decided to change ... well, not much at all. The top five remains the same, in large part because of head-to-head results. No matter what happened last week, Edison still has wins over Bakersfield and Clovis North. Bakersfield still beat Ridgeview, and Ridgeview still beat Liberty.
