Ben Lively pitched another gem for the Bakersfield Blaze Wednesday night but all he got was a no-decision.
Blaze closer Kyle McMyne allowed a game-tying three-run homer to Mark Shannon in the ninth inning but Bakersfield scored in the 10th to beat the Inland Empire 66ers 5-4 at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Bakersfield won it when Ryan Wright, Jesse Winkler and Kyle Waldrop hit singles, with Waldrop getting the game-winning RBI.
Lively tossed seven shutout innings, lowered his earned run average to 0.63 and left with a 4-0 lead.
Cal State Bakersfield’s 42nd annual spring barbecue, that benefits the CSUB athletic scholarship fund, will be held tonight at the Icardo Center.
The theme is “A salute to the ‘90s’ with contests and prizes for the best 1990s attire.

CSUB men’s soccer
The ’Runners added NAIA third-team All-American Daniel Meier to its team.
Meier is transferring from Ashford University (Iowa), where he had 18 goals and 10 assists last season for a team-high 46 points, helping Ashford go 16-4-2.
Sophomore Ian Nickell was named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
Nickell, a Bakersfield High graduate, carries a 3.793 grade point average as a petroleum engineering major. Nickell went 21-12 last season at 133 and 141 pounds.
Junior Madison Bundy and senior Karissa Veiga were named to the All-Western Athletic Conference second team in a vote by WAC coaches.
Bundy started all 54 games for CSUB and batted .275. Bundy tied for the team lead with 10 doubles and tied for second on the team with 16 RBIs.
Veigaled CSUB in batting (.315), hits (58), runs scored (32), triples (5) and stolen bases (11).
