Williams scores 30; Roadrunners roll

HOUSTON — Amber Williams scored 30 points and Cal State Bakersfield cruised to an 88-75 women’s basketball victory at Houston Baptist University Tuesday night.

It was the second straight game Williams has scored at least 30 points. She went 10-of-16 fromn the field, including 5-of-8 on 3s and surpassed 1,400 career points.

Janae Coffee added 16 points in 15 minutes of action.

Ciarra Ford had 13 points and Dajy Vines scored 12 for the Roadrunners.

CSUB (5-15) converted 19 Huskies’ turnovers into 28 points and sank 11 of 24 3-point attempts. Houston Baptist dropped to 4-14.

The Roadrunners play host to Utah Valley at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Icardo Center.
