    CSUB narrows search for athletic director to two finalists

    Cal State Bakersfield is down to a final two in the sweepstakes to fill its vacant athletic director's job. The finalists are both senior associate athletic directors at their respective institutions, David Harris at Iowa State and Bill Lansden at Alabama-Birmingham.

    Both have scheduled upcoming visits to CSUB where they will meet with community members and campus personnel. Harris' visit will be Wednesday from 8-9 a.m. in the Icardo Room. Lansden will visit Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 8-9 a.m. in the Icardo Room.

    Harris has been Iowa State's associate AD since 2008 and Lansden has held his position since July, 2013. Harris helped Iowa State achieve the highest graduation rate for student athletes in Iowa State's history.
