ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska outshot Bakersfield 45-23 and escaped with a 2-1 victory Friday night at Sullivan Arena.
Despite the shot disparity, Bakersfield tied the game, 1-1, in the second period with a goal from Tyler Maxwell, his third of the season.
Gary Nunn scored the game-winner for the Aces midway through the third period. Nick Mazzolini scored the opening goal of the game for Alaska in the first period.
Condors goalie Scott Greenham made 43 saves. Aces goalie Mark Guggenberger made 22 saves.
Bakersfield will look to avoid a three-game sweep in Alaska on Sunday at 6:05 p.m. The Condors return to Rabobank Arena on Friday to face the Ontario Reign.
