Condors' quest for playoffs suffers blow in SF

DALY CITY -- The Bakersfield Condors fell 3-1 to the San Francisco Bulls in the Cow Palace on Saturday night in a game the Condors desperately needed if they want to climb into playoff contention.

Bakersfield trails San Francisco by 10 points (43 to 33) in the chase for the final Western Conference playoff spot. Utah has 45 points.

Jake Morley scored the lone goal for Bakersfield, his first of the season with the Condors. However, that came after San Francisco had taken a 2-0 lead early in the thirs period.

Bakersfield and San Francisco play again in the Cow Palace today at 2:15 p.m.
