BOISE, Idaho -- After having a five-game win streak snapped on Friday night, the Bakersfield Condors have now lost two straight.
The Idaho Steelheads never trailed in beating the Condors 6-3 on Saturday night with three of those goals coming on power plays.
Charlie Dodero put the Steelheads up 1-0 on a power-play goal 15:45 into the first period and Idaho made it 2-0 on a power-play goal by Rob Linesmayer 2:23 into the second.
Wes Cunnngham scored on a Condors power play at 4:39 to cut the lead to 2-1 but Idaho's William Rapuzzi scored two goals less than a minute apart to make it 4-1. The first was on a power play at 6:09, the second at 6:54.
That was the end of the night for Condors goaltender Laurent Brossoit, who allowed four goals on 14 shots.
An Andrew Carroll goal made it 4-2 five minutes into the third.
Anthony Nigro got an insurance goal for Idaho at 15:08, four seconds after a power play expired, and David de Kastrozza scored a short-handed empty-net goal for the final tally.
The Condors play host to the Alaska Aces at 1 p.m. on Monday.
