Condors beaten by Reign in overtime, 3-2

Ontario's Eric Springer scored 1 minute, 48 seconds into overtime on Friday night to lift the Reign to a 3-2 victory over the Condors.

It was the 13th time this season that the Reign has gone into overtime, while just the third time for the Condors.

The Condors (13-16-1-1) are 5-1-1 in their last seven. The Reign (25-5-1-3) has the best winning percentage in the ECHL.

Gary Steffes scored both goals for the Condors, the first putting Bakersfield up 1-0 just 4:15 into the game.

Ontario's Cody Sol tied the game midway through the period. The Reign went up 2-1 on a power-play goal by Kyle Kraemer 1:05 into the second and Steffes tied the game with a power-play goal at 5:58.

Laurent Brossoit stopped 23 of 26 shots in taking the loss.

The Condors take on the Las Vegas Wranglers tonight at Rabobank Arena.

The Condors are 3-1 against the Wranglers and seven points ahead of them in the standings.

The first 2,000 children, 12 and under, at tonight's game will receive their choice of a Dodgers or Giants Pillow Pet.
