STOCKTON -- In a wild matinee showdown, the Bakersfield Condors were outgunned by the Stockton Thunder, 6-5, at Stockton Arena.
Thunder forward Corey Trivino capped off a six-goal third period as he netted the game-winning goal with 3:15 left. Joey Martin was on the far boards when he received the feed, looked up, and found Trivino back-door, who would beat Bakersfield goalkeeper Chet Pickard top-shelf.
The Thunder's offensive success was nearly matched by the Condors as they scored three in the final period.
Ryan Little tied the game at 4-4 just 22 seconds into the third period, and then took the lead on goals by Erik Bergdoerfer and Gary Steffes' second goal of the night.
However, the Bakersfield lead only lasted 1:13 as Stockton scored twice in a four-minute stretch.
