STOCKTON -- Chris Collins scored twice, Chase Schaber scored a late equalizer and the Bakersfield Condors picked up a 4-3 shootout victory over the Stockton Thunder on Sunday night at Stockton Arena.
Collins scored twice in the second period to give Bakersfield (2-10-1) a 2-0 lead, but Stockton (7-4-1) rallied in the third and took the lead when Ryan Hayes beat Condors goalie Chet Pickard from the side of the net off a feed from behind the cage at the 12:21 mark.
Schaber tied the game four minutes later on a wrister that slipped past Thunder goalie Brian Foster on the short side.
The Condors had a power play during overtime, but failed to convert.
Following a scoreless overtime, Bakersfield's Jordan Knackstedt scores the lone goal of the shootout, as Pickard stopped all five shots against him to lift the Condors to just their second win in 13 games this season.
