Newly signed goaltender Andy Chiodo stopped 32 of 34 shots in his first game, the best effort in net by a Condors goaltender since a 2-1 shootout loss to Colorado on opening night.
But San Francisco goaltender Tyler Beskorowany was just a touch better, stopping 33 of 34 shots.
The Bulls broke out to a 2-0 lead on goal by Dean Ouellet gave the Bulls a 1-0 lead 8:29 into the game and Kyle Bigios scored what turned out to be the game-winner 1:12 into the second.
Bakersfield snapped a 186-minute, 45-second scoring drought when defenseman Wes Cunningham got his first goal of the season.
Before the game it was a busy day for the Edmonton Oilers, Oklahoma City Barons and the Condors.
The Condors traded defenseman Blake Kessel to Orlando on Friday morning for future considerations and before the bus rolled into San Francisco a host of other transactions were taking place that affected the Condors.
The Oilers acquired goaltender Laurent Brossoit and center Roman Horak from Calgary in exchange for defenseman Ladislav Smid and goaltender Olivier Roy.
Brossoit had been assigned to the Alaska Aces by Calgary, shut out the Condors last Saturday and Sunday and was just named ECHL goaltender of the week.
Brossoit is expected to wind up in Oklahoma City and Roy, who was in Oklahoma City, could end up being assigned to the Alaska Aces.
Horak is headed for Oklahoma City, which resulted in the Barons releasing Joel Broda from his Professional Try Out Agreement. Broda, who had a goal and an assist in eight games for the Barons, is returning to the Condors.
Also joining the Condors will be goaltender Chet Pickard, who was signed to an AHL contract by the Barons.
Pickard played for Djurgardens IF in Stockholm, Sweden during the 2012-13 season. He previously spent the 2011-12 season with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones. He split time with the Cyclones and AHL's Milwaukee Admirals during the 2010-11 season. He also played for the Admirals during the 2009-10 season.
The Edmonton organization is now flush with goaltenders as the Oilers signed Ilya Bryzgalov on Friday, giving them six goalies under NHL contracts and two under AHL contracts.
Tyler Bunz (NHL contract) started the season with the Condors but is on call-up to Oklahoma City.
