Condors goaltender Laurent Brossoit was named to the ECHL all-rookie team Wednesday.

Brossoit is the fourth Condor in the ECHL era to be named to the team, joining goaltender Brian Stewart (2010-11), forward Matthew Pope (2008-09), and forward Todd Griffith (2006-07).

Brossoit, assigned to the team by the Edmonton Oilers, has made 36 appearances with a record of 24-9-2.

He is tied for first in the league in wins (24), is first in shutouts with eight; is second in goals-against average (2.05) and tied for second in save percentage at .924.

Brossoit's eight shutouts tied an ECHL record only accomplished by two other goaltenders in the league's 26-year history.

Also named to the team on Wednesday were forwards Jeremy Langlois (Stockton); William Rapuzzi (Idaho); Matt Caria (Kalamazoo) and defensemen Brad Richard (Alaska) and Michael Cajkovsky (Reading).

Defenseman Joey Leach has been reassigned to the Condors by Oklahoma City. Leach appeared in six games for the Barons and had one assist.

Leach has seven assists in 56 games with the Condors.

Bakersfield winds up the regular season this weekend with three straight games -- at home Friday against Stockton, in Ontario on Saturday and at home on Sunday against Las Vegas.
