New feature provides added real-time content for ECHL fans

The ECHL, in conjunction with LeagueStat.com has launched a pretty neat feature for fans.

The feature allows fans to access statistic and positional shot tracking in real-time through an interface that is fully optimized for tablets, as well as laptop and desktop browsers. Fans will also have access to detailed game previews prior to each contest in addition to being able to view the complete box score and link directly to AmericaOneSports.com to purchase live games.

Here's a look at shot tracking from Tuesday's game between Evansville and Cincinnati.

We have been working with the ECHL and other top leagues for over a year now on an interface for stats that perfectly marries real time data with streaming video,” said NewSport Media President and CEO Cary Morretti. “This week's launch of the new ECHL Game Center is the result of those efforts. We're excited about getting this out to fans and looking forward to rolling out even more stats and features as the season progresses.”

The ECHL is excited to bring our dedicated fans the latest technology from NewSport Media to enhance the viewing of each ECHL game this season,” said ECHL Senior Vice President of Business Operations Ryan Crelin. “For the first time, ECHL fans can track every shot, save and penalty in real time, from the scorer’s table directly onto their digital device.”
