Two Local Swimmers receive scholastic award

Senior Eric Sande and junior Jorie Caneta were honored last week being named to the USA Swimming's Scholastic All-America Team. These swimmers had to achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the previous year average (sophomore through senior years only) and qualify in at least one USA Swimming recognized event with a required time standard. Both Eric (4.3) and Jorie (4.2) were 2 of 6 Central California swimmers honored and they both swim for Roadrunner Aquatics. Senior Joshua Hanson of Ridgecrest was the only other Kern County swimmer honored.
