Players can try out for pitcher and catcher as well as other positions. We anticipate taking 10-11 players this season. As for the team selection process, it will be based solely on ability and team needs. The selections will be based on what is observed at tryouts only! At tryouts, the following will be judged:
Overall Sense of the Game – Proper mechanics and an understanding of basic rules and philosophy “Coachability” – Can this player be coached, Follows directions, Learns, etc…

Attitude – Proper focus, behavior, and responsibility Once again, players will be selected on ability as well as team needs. There may be an instance where a better fielder may not make the team over a better hitter, or vice versa. All decisions made will be with the team best interests firstManager/Coach Marco Rodriguez 661-817-6243 or email centralcalsluggers@gmail.com
