The Southwest Mojo Sophomore squad capped a perfect season on Saturday by defeating the Far North Fire 44-22 in the Golden Empire Youth Football championship game at Garces Memorial High School. Mojo rushing touchdowns were recorded by Isaac Jernagin, Wesley Wilson & Evan Burkhart and Cameron Williams threw for another, as the team went to 10 -0. Southwest finished the regular season at 7 - 0, before claiming Southern Division playoff victories over the Wolverines & Tomahawks. Far North entered the championship game as the champion of the Northern Division. The team will now face the Santa Clarita champion in the 3rd Annual Youth Shrine Potato Bowl to be held on Saturday.
