Local report: Lester scores 34 in BC loss

Conroy Lester scored 34 points for Bakersfield College but the Renegades dropped a 76-72 Western State Conference men's basketball home game to Los Angeles Valley on Wednesday, their fourth straight loss.
Lester had 22 points in the second half. He also had a team-high eight rebounds.
BC (9-14, 3-6 WSC) shot only 34 percent. Valley (5-17, 2-7) shot 53 percent.

VALLEY GLEN -- L.A. Valley cruised to a 67-43 victory over Bakersfield College.
Khiylah Dean led BC (13-12, 6-4 Western State Conference South) with nine points and six rebounds, and Emily Park added three steals and three assists.
