    The Bakersfield Heat went 4-0 to win the Camarillo Pre All-Star Tournament over the weekend. The Heat beat San Fernando Valley Northside 4-3 in the title game.

Kern River Divers seeking new members. Kern River is an AAU-affiliated competitive spring board diving club, which welcomes ages from age 9 to master divers, beginners to advanced. Club trains at McMurtrey Aquatics Center. Call (661) 398-8393.


Kern Athletic Fencing Foundation offers beginning fencing classes at 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays. At 7 p.m. Tuesday there is an advanced class. All classes can be started at any time and they are held at the NOR Community Center on Norris and Fruitvale. For information, call Lucas (661) 319-2235. Classes open to children, adults. Equipment available.


Bakersfield Blades FC tryouts for 5U to 10U boys, Saturday at Bakersfield Sports Village, Ashe Road and Taft Highway. Blades are affiliated with Cal-South and have licensed coaches.
