The Kern County Rugby Football Club rallied in the second half Sunday for a 30-24 victory over host Riverside.
A penalty kick by Marcus Felix gave Kern County a 25-24 lead with seven minutes left, and Zack Brown scored the final try in the final minutes for the final margin.
In the first half, Billy Ross scored for a 7-5 lead; Wicus Postma scored for a 12-5 lead, Garet Brown made a dive over the try line for a 17-12 lead, and Ross added another score for Kern's biggest lead, 22-12.
