Fastpitch Softball : 5th Place at ASA Western Nationals!
Bakersfield Rebels 12U took 5TH Place at ASA A Class Western Nationals first week of August. After our first lost in pool play 3rd Place was the best we could come out. We won our 2nd pool game against CA Breeze 8-2. All bracket games were 7 innings. We Won our first bracket game 11-2 over Mizuno All American 00. Next we knocked off the 1 seed Steal Breeze Elite 17-1 after being down 1-0 going into the 3rd inning. We moved on that night to play another 1 seed Mizuno All American 99 winning 10-5.
Our first bracket lost came Sat. morning to N. Valley Rapids 5-8. We then beat Nemesis Elite Blue 6-2 and Modesto Crusaders 6-2 to make it to Sunday. We had a long battle against the KG Hitters. Being down 3-0 in the 1st inning we came back and was up 7-4 in the 3rd. We were up by 1 going into the 6th. But was unable to hang on to our lead and after 6 days of games and 65 teams that started we brought back to Bakersfield the 5TH Place Award.
