By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

The Bakersield Blaze's offensive woes continued in a 5-0 loss to the Visalia Rawhide on Saturday night t Sam Lynn Ballpark.

Bakersfield has been held scoreless 26 straight innings, a span that stretches almost three full games. The Blaze scored four runs in the first inning of Thursday's game, but hasn't scored since.

Locals in regionals

Eight local baseball products are set to start play in the NAIA regionals, which start Monday.

No. 14 The Master's College (37-16), featuring outfielder Joe Riddle from Centennial High, host play the Santa Clarita Regional.

Riddle could square off against another local, Greg Younger (Liberty, Taft College) and Vanguard (Costa Mesa) in regional play. Vanguard is 31-21

Former Bakersfield High and Bakersfield College pitcher Ryan Stapp and No. 7 Missouri Baptist (45-12) are playing in the Kingsport (Tenn.) Regional.

There's a chance that Stapp and former teammate Bryan Haney (Liberty, BC), a senior catcher at No. 23 Cumberland (Tenn.), can meet in the regional semifinals. Cumberland is 40-18.

No. 16 Oklahoma City (35-17) features two former Taft College players, Forrest Smith (Foothill) and Josh Dickey (Centennial), who will play in the Jackson (Miss.) Regional. Smith has 17 home runs this season.

No. 18 Bellevue (Neb.), which is 37-15-2, features freshman Todd Nicks from Centennial playing in the Shawnee (Okla.) Regional. In the regional, Nicks could face another local product, Ronnie Galindo (East, BC), who plays for unranked Bacone (Okla.). Bacone is 34-18.

A victory in the double-elimination regional qualifies the teams for the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, starting May 23.
