Fencing
Fencing camp at Centre Stage studio starting July 16. Deadline for early registration is July 9. Beginners are welcome, ages 8-80. Call Dan (661) 588-0297. There will be no fencing July 4.
Softball
Think you can hit a top-level softball pitcher? If you have an extra $20, you can take your chances Saturday against former Centennial High, UCLA and USA pitcher Megan Langenfeld, who is helping to raise money for the Legacy 14U softball team, which earned a berth into the ASA National tournament, July 30-Aug. 5 in Sioux Falls, S.D., and is raising money for travel expenses. $20 will get you 10 swings against Langenfeld. Hit the fence and you get your $20 back. Hit a home run, and get your $20 back, plus an extra $20. The fundraiser will start at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the BC softball field.
