Baseball
Rosamond High Baseball is sponsoring a free youth baseball clinic and alumni baseball game fundraiser at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 25 at Rosamond High. Players will learn fundamentals of baseball from high school and college players and coaches. An alumni game will start at 1 p.m. and will be in honor of Brett Wallis as a fundraiser to help find a cure for diabetes and support for student scholarships. Registration for the clinic can be made online at www.active.com or in person at Rosamond High. Register by Feb. 23. Donations may be made online or in person. The Bakersfield Bombers 8U baseball team won its sixth straight championship by winning the Northwest Fresno Iron Pigs Hog Fest Baseball Tournament in Fresno. Han's Taekwondo Academy earned 23 gold medals, six silvers and four bronzes at the 2012 Yushen Lai Invitational Championships Feb. 11 in Carson. Han's won the third Largest Supporting Team Award. The team was led by Master Francis Esposo and Coach Peter O'Rear. Sparring results: Julian Esposo, Grant Austin, Havyn Austin, Jonathan Cejoco, Kaitlyn Duenas, Delbert Hake, Gage Legaspi, Pete Melendez, Tyler Napier, Coby Nguyen, Garrett Pedersen, Taylor Russell, and Sarah Tieu won gold medals. Colton Duenas, Alex Neubarth, Haileigh Russell, and Nasir Wilcox earned silver medals. Aiesha Angeles, Isaac Tieu, and Laramie Uhls won bronze medals.

Diving
Jacob Tittl, a sophomore at the University of La Verne, qualfied for the SCAIC conference dive championships for a second straight year last weekend at Redlands.
The Liberty High graduate finished fifth in the 1 meter standings with a score of 372.25 on Saturday, and took fourth on the 3-meter board Sunday with a score of 379.80. First in the 1-meter event was won by Tyler Aisner, a senior from Whittier College (458.90), and the top finisher in the 3-meter event was James Stevick, a freshman from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (532.20).
The top eight divers in each event move on to the conference championship Saturday, also at Redlands. Swimmers for the SCAIC colleges will compete at Seal Beach Feb. 19-21.
