    American Kicks Taekwondo Competition Team results in the Master Yushen Lai Invitational on Saturday in Carson: The team earned one first, two seconds and seven fourth-place awards in forms, and also won four firsts, four seconds and four thirds in sparring.

    The Chiefs went 9-2 and won the Junior MIdget Division of All Out Flag Football winter season. The team won the title by going 3-0 in the playoffs Jan. 30 at the State Farm Athletic Fields. All Out Flag Football is a 5-on-5 flag football program for boys and girls ages 5-14. Coaches are Russell Bigler and Susan Begin.     American Gymnastics' Level 8 team placed second in the Hollywood Open over the weekend at Camarillo. Alexa Schacher won the 12-13 age group with a 36.95, placing first on vault, bars, and floor. Sarah Taylor won the 14-older age group, placing second on bars. Kyra Sales took second on floor and third on beam. Also pictured is team member Datiah Towns.

    The Sliders Black 12U baseball team went 4-0 to win the Fresno A's tournament over the weekend atthe Bullard Cal Ripken Fields. The Sliders beat the Fresno A's 10-8 in the final.

Kern Athletic Fencing Foundation offers beginning fencing classes at 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and an advanced class at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. FUN sports (coed)

Track and field

Central California Track and Field Coaches Clinic, for coaches, athletes and parents, is set for Feb. 22-23 at Cal State Bakersfield. Receive quality drills and skills instruction from some of California's premier coaches. Learn how to organize drills to match skill level.
