Selsky wins it for Blaze in 11th
Steve Selsky scored Ryan Wright with a game-winning single in the 11th to give the Bakersfield Blaze a 4-3 victory over the Stockton Ports at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Selsky, who was demoted earlier this month after hitting .181 with Double-A Pensacola, lined a single to center field to extend Bakersfield's season-high winning streak to six games.
Marquez Smith hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run blast, to give the Blaze a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning. Max Muncy tied the game with an RBI single in the seventh inning.
El'Hajj Muhammad (1-0) pitched a scoreless 11th inning for the victory.
