Boy's Gymnastics: Level 8 Team Dominates Competition in San Diego

American Kids Sports Center’s Level 8 boys’ gymnastics team dominated the field on their way to an easy victory at the San Diego Team Cup Jan. 25-26. The meet featured 350 athletes from the Western United States and Mexico.
Tyler Weiner placed 2nd in the 13 and under All-Around. He placed first on Rings, Vault, and Parallel Bars.
In the 14 and older age division, Collin Maberry, Luke Tomlinson, and Marty Peterson placed First, Second, and Third in the All-Around. Maberry placed First on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars and 2nd on High Bar. Tomlinson placed 2nd on Floor and Rings, and Peterson won the High bar and placed 2nd on the Pommel Horse. In the Level 10 competition, Cooper Bishop placed 2nd on the Still Rings, and 5th in the All-Around. The boys are coached by Tom Ladman and Matt Williams. Their next competition will be February 1 and 2 in Torrance for the Southern California 2nd Preliminary.
