Ebonite Demo Day March 24

Open to everyone, so be sure to mark your calendars, as Regency Bowling Center will be hosting an Ebonite Demo Day starting at 3 p.m. This is free, but bowlers need to bring their favorite ball to speed up the process of fitting you with one of the new balls to try. There will be three different bowling balls to try out.

This Demo Day will still be going on when night leagues are underway that Monday night so bowlers can use any of the demo balls during league.

New Central Valley Masters club

Central Valley Masters is the name of the new tournament club with its inaugural tournament on March 30 at Regency Bowling Center. There will be two squads: noon and 2:30 p.m. owl 5 games across 10 lanes. Top 5 roll-off.

This new tournament club, which hopes to run up and down the San Joaquin Valley, has a $1,000 guaranteed first place with an entry fee of only $60 (1 in 6) plus optional side pots, brackets, 3-6-9 pots and big game bonanza pot.

This is a handicap format tournament with the handicap being set at 80 percent of 230, making it fair for all levels and skills of bowlers. For more information, flyers are available at the front desk at Regency, or contact Rick Mathews (559) 202-9987.

By the looks of initial responses, this tournament looks like it could be a big hit with the San Joaquin Valley Bowlers with its next stop being scheduled at either AMF Visalia Lanes or Porterville Lanes. Thanks to tournament sponsors Affordable PC Repair, the Bowler's Edge Pro Shop and Curtis Electrical Construction.
