Optional Athletes place 4th in Las Vegas

American Kids Sports Center’s Level 8 boy’s gymnastics team placed 4th at the prestigious Vitaly Scherbo Invitational Gymnastics Meet in Las Vegas January 20th. The team was edged by another California club, a team from Australia and a team from Mexico. Luke Tomlinson (13-over age group) led the way for American taking 3rd on Floor, 5th on Rings and Parallel Bars, and 6th on High Bar and the All-Around. Marty Peterson (13-over age group) placed 3rd on Pommel Horse. Ben Walker (13-over age group) placed 4th on Rings. In the 11-12 age group, Wade Froehlich placed 4th on High Bar, and Spenser Prow placed 7th on Rings. Paul Flora (Level 9, 13-14 year old age group) placed 7th on Parallel Bars and 11th All-Around. Brett Ridley (Level 10, 17-18 year old age group) placed 6th on High Bar, 7th on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars, and 8th All-Around. The teams next Competition is the first weekend in February in Elk Grove, California. The boys are coached by Tom Ladman and Matt Williams.
