Level 6 Team takes 2nd place in Las Vegas

American Kids Sports Center’s Level 6 boy’s gymnastics team placed 2nd at the prestigious Vitaly Scherbo Invitational Gymnastics Meet in Las Vegas January 20th. The meet featured teams from around the country, Mexico, and even Australia. American was led by Matt Rogers, who placed 3rd in the All-Around (8-10 year olds), including finishing first on Rings and High Bar, 2nd on Floor, and 4th on Vault. Zach Whitmore placed 5th All-Around (8-10 year olds) including 2nd on Pommel Horse, 3rd on Vault, and 5th on Parallel Bars and High Bar. Connor Shanley (8-10 year olds) placed 2nd on Parallel Bars, 5th on Pommel Horse, and 6th on Floor and the All Around. Collin Mayberry (11-Over age group) placed 2nd on Vault, 3rd on Rings, 4th on High Bar, 6th on Parallel Bars, and 6th All-Around. Alex Pope (11-Over Age Group) placed 3rd on Vault.
American is the only boy’s gymnastics team in Bakersfield, and is coached by Tom Ladman and Matt Williams.
