  1. ROBERT GAUTNEY: Bautista looks to defend title in Kern Amateur

    Neil Bautista knows his share of the history of Kern County golf. As the defending champion of the Men's Kern County Amateur, he is already a part of that history.

    Coupled with his win in this year's Bakersfield City Amateur in July, he is one of only three players to have followed a KC Men's Amateur win with a Bakersfield City Amateur win in succession. This weekend Bautista will also try to become the sixth player to win back-to-back Men's Kern County Amateur titles and in doing so would become only the second player to have won three City/County combined titles in a row and the third player to win both in the same year.
