Local report: Garces grad Anspach a snowboard All-American

SUN VALLEY, Idaho -- Garces High graduate David Anspach earned All-American honors for his 10th-place overall finish at the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboarder National Championships.
Anspach, who competed for Fresno State, secured his All-American status by placing in the top 20 Saturday in the giant slalom.
"I feel great," said Anspach, who suffered a sprained knee Friday. "I'm kind of in shock right now."
The college senior said he will next compete as a professional with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, with the goals of qualifying for upcoming X-Games and Winter Olympics competitions.
