GLENDALE -- Bakersfield College beat two-time defending Western State Conference South Division champion Glendale 8-6 Thursday, the Renegades' eighth straight baseball win.

"It was a good win for us," BC coach Tim Painton said. "They came into the game with one (conference) loss as well." The teams will play at BC Saturday at 6 p.m.
Darion Nunn (2-0) started and got the win. Sean Deweese entered in the ninth after Glendale's first two batters reached base, and he got out of the jam for his second save in two games.
Offensively, BC's 15-hit attack was led by Luc Pomales, who was 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Jordan Turner, who was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
