Local report: Jam falls to 66ers

Renaldo Major had a team-high 16 points andKendall Marshall, who was assigned to the Jam by the Phoenix Suns, scored 13 points and dished out seven assists, but Bakersfield fell, 114-98 to the Tulsa 66ers on Saturday at Dignity Health Event Center.
Damion James added 11 points for the Jam in the loss.
Tulsa took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Bakersfield 36-18 to take a 62-40 halftime lead.
The 66ers (6-3) increased their lead to 28 points in the third quarter, 85-57, with 3:17 to play before the Jam started to chip away.
Bakersfield (6-4) scored 10 straight points during one stretch in the fourth quarter and trimmed Tulsa's lead to 100-87 on a dunk by reserve Isma'il Muhammad with 3:34 to play.
The Jam pulled to with 95-83 on a 3-pointer by Jerel McNeal with 2:03 to play, but Bakersfield could get no closer.
Bakersfield was outrebounded 48-32.
JC basketball
VISALIA -- Bakersfield College trailed from the start and was beaten 75-57 by Cerritos College in the College of the Sequoias tournament.
BC (4-7) went 0-2 in the tournament.
Conroy Lester had 15 points and Taevawne Morrison scored 10 for the Renegades.
