Air Force outlasts Roadrunners in OT

Air Force's Cherae Medina made a 3-point basket at the buzzer in regulation to force an overtime and the Falcons pulled away for an 82-78 victory Thursday over Cal State Bakersfield in women's basketball.
CSUB had its chances. The Roadrunners led 59-50 in regulation, and 75-70 in overtime.
It was the first victory of the season for the Falcons (1-9), while the Roadrunners dropped to 2-8.
CSUB's Lauren Carter tied the game at 78 by making one of two free throws, but Cherae Medina scored to give the Falcons an 80-78 lead.
Dymond James of Air Force made two free throws for the final margin.
CSUB's Amber Williams led all scorers with 24 points. Teammate Tyonna Outland added 16 and Brooklynn Hinkens 10.
CSUB, which missed its first 11 field goal attempts, shot only 33 percent (24-for-72) from the field. The Roadrunners visit Colorado State on Sunday.
