College roundup: BC women top Glendale in soccer

Michelle Jimenez and Monica Diaz each scored a goal to lead Bakersfield College to a 2-0 home victory over Glendale College in women's soccer.

Goalie Tina LaFore had a pair of saves for BC. The Renegades (7-4-2, 3-2-2 Western State Conference) will travel to West L.A. College on Friday.

CSUB men's golf

SIMI VALLEY -- Cal State Bakersfield concluded its fall men's golf season by placing last at the 20-team Bill Cullum Invitational at the Wood Ranch Golf Club.

Freshman Trevor Sam had a second-round 69 for CSUB's top performance. He shot 83 on Tuesday and tied for 60th with a 10-over-par 226.

Other CSUB scorers were Dylan Lym with a 54-hole total of 237 for 93rd place; Jim Park, who was 104th with a 245; Brett Kettler, who was 105th with a 249; and Matthew Deford, who was 106th with a 256.
