Hood wins finale
Larry Hood of Bakersfield wrapped up the IMCA Modified regular season at Bakersfield Speedway in impressive fashion Saturday night by driving to his second straight victory.
Hood slid past Troy Morris Jr. on the 19th lap and went on to a three-car length victory over Joey Yantis.
"It makes it really fun," Hood said of his late season surge which saw him win two straight and four of his last six races. "There's a lot of good drivers out here and there was some good driving."
Hood's four wins are the most in the division this season. Santa Maria's Josh Vogt finished third followed by Bakersfield drivers Larry Wise and Morris.
