UC San Diego won the final event of Saturday's men's swimming meet against Cal State Bakersfield to pull out a 150-148 win at the Hillman Aquatic Center.
The Tritons clocked 3:05.75 in the 400 freestyle relay to edge CSUB's 3:05.81 and rally from behind.
CSUB's Mitchell Huxhold was a triple winner: the 100 free (46.95), the 500 free (4:34.96) and the 1,000 free (9:26.16).
Other wins by CSUB were recorded by Louis Wojciechowski in the 50 free (21.67) and 100 fly (51.86), Alex Kotliarsky in the 200 free (1:41.99), Jordan Singleton in the 100 back (52.48) and Tyler Greenwald in 1-meter diving (270.15).
CSUB swept three opponents Saturday in women's swimming, 201-92 over Loyola Marymount, 160-139 over UC San Diego and 212-76 over Alaska-Fairbanks.
Carlee Burks won the 1-meter diving event (256.46) and 3-meter diving (251.55), Michaela Paige won the 100 free (52.58) and 200 fly (2:03.93) and Delise Batiza won the 500 free (5:01.00) and 1,000 free (10:29.63).
CSUB is 8-2 in dual meets.
Rudy Gobert scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Saturday night as the Bakersfield Jam beat the Maine Red Claws 113-106 at the Dignity Health Event Center.
Damion James and Dwight Buycks both had 16 points, while Jarred Cunningham added 15 for Bakersfield.
