Bakersfield College softball coach Sandi Taylor won her 500th career game as a head coach Saturday when the Renegades came from behind to beat Fullerton College 9-8 in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader.

Cal State Bakersfield split a Pacific Coast Softball Conference doubleheader Saturday, losing the opener 2-1 and winning the second game 3-2 against Saint Mary's College.
Freshman right fielder Sydney Raeber went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in the second game. Freshman pitcher Amber Mills pitched a complete-game six-hitter to improve her record to 4-11.
CSUB (14-26 overall, 9-9 PCSC) scored its only run in the opener on a wild pitch and had only two hits. But Sarah Lira hit two solo homers for the Gaels that proved to be the difference.

LANCASTER -- The Lancaster JetHawks scored eight runs in their final three innings and pulled away to snap the Bakersfield Blaze's three-game win streak, 11-4 at the Hangar.
Juan Perez went 2-for-4 as one of the few bright spots for Bakersfield, which had just six hits.
Trailing 9-1 in the eighth, the Blaze (5-12) rallied against Lancaster's Aaron West, scoring three runs on a throwing error by JetHawks third baseman Raoul Torrez.
Lancaster starter Luis Cruz (1-0) allowed just one hit in five innings, striking out five and walking one. The JetHawks improved to 10-6.
The teams conclude their four-game series at 2 p.m. today.
