By THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN

LANCASTER -- Yorman Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Bakersfield Blaze to its third straight victory Friday, 9-7 over the Lancaster JetHawks at the Hangar.

Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, both teams exchanged four-run fourth innings.

The Blaze duplicated its outburst in the fifth with a two-out rally.

Ryan Wright walked and scored two outs later when Rodriguez doubled. Juan Silverio followed with an RBI single and Dominic D'Anna connected on a two-run homer, his second, to build Bakersfield's lead to 8-5.

Lancaster trimmed the lead to 8-7 on a two-run home run by Zachary Johnson in the seventh.

The JetHawks opened the scoring when Delino DeShields doubled and scored two outs later on a wild pitch.

The Blaze took the lead in the fourth with four consecutive singles to open the inning.

D'Anna gave Bakersfield another run with a sacrifice fly and Joe Terry capped the rally with an RBI single for a 4-1 Blaze lead.

Lancaster regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning, capitalizing on two walks a double by Raoul Torrez and a triple by Nolan Fontana. Fontana then scored on a ground out to give the JetHawks a 5-4 lead.

Silverio was 3-for-4, while Kyle Waldrop, Juan Duran and D'Anna had two hits as part of a 16-hit Blaze attack.

Pat Doyle (1-0) notched his first win of the season, allowing two runs on four hits in three inning sof relief.

Bakersfield and Lancaster play again tonight at 7, before closing at the 4-game series Sunday at 1:15 p.m.
