CSUB gets JC transfer from Nebraska

Cal State Bakersfield volleyball coach Jolene Shepardson has announced that outside hitter Danika Youngblood has transferred to CSUB from Western Nebraska Community College.
Youngblood, a 5-foot-9 sophomore from South Jordan, Utah, ranked third in the nation among JC hitters with 474 kills. She added 401 digs, 37 blocks and 24 aces. She helped her team to a 40-3 record and national runner-up finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association national tournament.
Youngblood joins outside hitter Debora Araujo and setter Fernanda Goncalves who played at CSUB last season after transferring from Western Nebraska CC.
