    CSUB ROUNDUP: WAC commissioner Hurd focused on balance

    Developing top-to-bottom balance is the goal for the Western Athletic Conference moving forward. That's what WAC Commissioner Jeff Hurd said he would like to see.

    "We feel we have some stability with the conference now," Hurd told Cal State Bakersfield's Corey Costelloe last week at the WAC basketball media day in Las Vegas. Highlights of that interview were featured on Tuesday's Roadrunner Rundown webcast.

    Hurd said his description of a successful year for the WAC would include success against non-conference opponents, becoming stronger top-to-bottom and having competitive battles for regular-season championships.
