The Central Section’s quarterfinal Friday was littered by a number of near-upsets, but it really only produced one big one: That would be No. 9 Kerman over No. 1 CVC in Division IV. And to think, the Lions needed a Hail Mary and a two-point conversion to upend Taft in the first round. Could the Wildcats be the team in the semifinals right now?
