  1. Blaze begins renovation of picnic area at Ballpark

    Monday, Feb 09 2015 08:14 PM

The Bakersfield Blaze announced it has begun renovating its picnic area at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Since 2012, the third-base line has been home to a smattering of tables in a section known as The Terrace. That area will be transformed into a 500-person capacity, large-scale picnic area located just off the field of play.

The new picnic zone will be covered and can be split into three sections to accommodate multiple group events. All-you-can-eat buffet food will be prepared adjacent to the picnic area.

The new area will be self-contained, so spectators can sit and eat in one space, in close proximity to the field and with public address speakers overhead.
