McCarthy joins the discussion on KERN Radio
By The Bakersfield Californian
Californian Radio on Wednesday will look at the Republican National Convention. Guests will include Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) and Ben Goad, the Washington correspondent for the Riverside Press-Enterprise.
Goad will discuss how California is being perceived at the convention, especially in the wake of comments made Monday by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie about California Gov. Jerry Brown, and the delegation's role in the nominating process.
McCarthy is expected to discuss Tuesday night's speeches by Ann Romney and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and to look ahead to convention events Wednesday and Thursday night.
Co-hosts will be Louis Amestoy, The Californian's digital convergence manager, Robert Price, the newspaper's editorial page editor and KERN's Jeff Lemucchi.
The show airs from 9 to 10 a.m. on KERN-AM 1180. To call in with a question or comment, dial 842-KERN.
