Call us definitely.

Carly Rae Jepsen, performer of "Call Me Maybe," the catchiest, most viral, can't-get-it-out-of-your head song of the year, will be in Bakersfield on Tuesday and the best way to see the Canadian singer-songwriter live is by winning tickets to an intimate, unplugged mini-concert inside the Dignity Health Studios at The Bakersfield Californian. Jepsen's concert and meet-and-greet appearance is sponsored by local radio station Hits 93.1, in partnership with The Californian, both of whom are giving away tickets to the performance.

To win one of three pairs of tickets Thursday morning, tune in to "First Look with Scott Cox" at KERN-AM, 1180, or -- better yet -- view the show live at Bakersfield.com, from 7 to 10 a.m. If you miss your chance Thursday, two pairs of tickets will be given away on the program from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday. Listen for your cue to call both days, and hit us up at 842-KERN.

Hits 93.1 will give away several passes as well. Just go to hits931fm.com and enter to win. The contest goes until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, according to program director J. Reed. Winners will be notified Monday.

Jepsen will perform three songs, sign autographs and be interviewed by 93.1 disc jockey Andrew Cabacungan, aka Drewski, during the hourlong appearance, which starts at 6 p.m. In addition, The Californian's own music authority, reporter Matt Munoz, will chat with the performer in a videotaped interview that will be available for viewing on Bakersfield.com.

"Call Me Maybe" was the best-selling single of 2012 and earned a Grammy nomination for song of the year, but to define the success of the hit merely by its chart performance or critical reception would be a severe understatement of its cultural impact. Everyone from celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Justin Bieber to members of the U.S. Air Force serving in Afghanistan to an army of pop-loving nobodies covered the single, making it a viral sensation.

Earlier in the day, Jepson will perform at a local high school for a promotion sponsored by radio station Kelly 95.3. The school that wins the most votes by 4 p.m. Friday at the station's website, klly-fm.fimc.net, will land the concert.
