Here's a list we didn't make, thanks very much
By The Bakersfield Californian
Bakersfield has found itself on more than its share of "worst cities" lists, but here's one we thankfully didn't make.
We're nowhere to be found on pest control company Orkin's list of the 50 worst U.S. cities for bedbug infestation. So who tops the list of most infested cities? The honor goes to Chicago, with Detroit, Los Angeles, Denver and Cincinnati rounding out the top five. Granted, these are large cities with substantial numbers of visitors and travelers passing through, but the list is also populated with cities and metro areas around Bakersfield's size or even smaller, including Dayton, Ohio, at No. 11; Omaha, Neb., at No. 17; Colorado Springs at No. 23; Lexington, Ky., at No. 24; and Sioux City, Iowa, at No. 50.
We take our public image victories where we can get them.
